Membership dues are non-refundable and are non-transferable. 



Online courses are non-refundable whether the course has been started or not. 



Registration cancellations or changes from in-person to virtual conference registrations must be made in writing and sent to by the dates outlined below.

Cancellation requests for the in-person or virtual conference received by July 9, will be refunded at 50% of the registration fee. Refunds will not be made for cancellations on or after July 10, 2024, or for participants who register but do not attend.

Transfer of registration fees to another person may be done without penalty with written notice given to IAFN home office at by July 17, 2024.

Requests to change a registration from the 2024 in-person conference to the 2024 virtual conference received by July 9, 2024, will receive a refund of the difference between the in-person paid registration fee and the virtual conference registration fee. Refunds will not be made for requests received on or after July 10, 2024.



All application fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable to another applicant. In the event you fail to meet the eligibility requirements for an exam or are denied certification renewal, the application fee minus a $125 processing fee may be refunded upon request. 

In the event a check is returned for insufficient funds, you will be required to pay a $45 returned-check fee. Following a returned check, any fees must be remitted by money order, certified check, or credit card.




The majority of merchandise, books, and physical products are sold by and shipped through third party vendors.  Their payment, shipping, privacy, and return policies apply.


In the rare case that you purchase a physical item directly from IAFN and your item arrives damaged or destroyed, we are happy to offer a replacement or full refund. Returns for any other reason will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. If your clothing item is in like-new condition, you may exchange your clothing item for a different size or color. You will not be subject to a restocking fee in this case, but you still will have to pay return shipping. All other sales are final unless there is a manufacturer defect. Merchandise that has been worn, used, or altered will not be accepted for return or exchange.

In the event of a defect, you must notify the Association within 15 days of receipt of your item purchased and return within 10 days of notifying us.
