Police Brutality
Comprised of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to providing trauma-informed, patient-centered care to victims of violence, the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) condemns discrimination, racism, and violence in all its forms.
Recent and historical acts of lethal, race-based police brutality—both publicized and not—lay bare that racism is a persistent public health threat to the safety, lives, and well-being of the individuals and communities that experience it.
Condemnation alone, however, is not enough.
