Scholarship Program

 

The Foundation Scholarship Program application process is now open for 2020.

  


The IAFN Foundation Scholarship Program provides financial assistance for members and other forensic nurses around the world who might otherwise be unable to attend the organization’s annual International Conference on Forensic Nursing Science and Practice.
 

Who Can Apply? 
  All applicants must be presently working or studying in a field of forensic nursing:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Interpersonal Violence
  • Psychiatric Nursing
  • Death Investigation
  • Corrections Nursing
  • Child Maltreatment
  • Elder Maltreatment
  • Legal Nurse Consulting


    Applicants should be: 

  •  Individuals who have been a member of the IAFN for at least twelve (12) months immediately preceding the application deadline 
  • Non-members and individuals who have been a member for less than twelve (12) months must be sponsored by a current member 
  •  

     

    Scholarship Tiers

    Tier 1 International Scholarship (awarded to an applicant who resides outside the Continental United States of America) includes the following:
    •  Registration Fee for the annual International Conference on Forensic Nursing Science and Practice.
    • A monetary stipend to assist with 2 nights of lodging & $1000 toward travel.

     

    Tier 2 Scholarship (awarded to an applicant residing in the Continental USA) includes the following:

    •  Registration Fee for the annual International Conference on Forensic Nursing Science and Practice.
    • A monetary stipend to assist with 2 nights of lodging.
