"Member Get a Member" Campaign Overview

"I had heard of IAFN but really didn't know what they did until I met a colleague who was a member. She convinced me that IAFN is a community of nurses who work with victims and perpetrators of violent crimes and who care about their profession and care about their patients."

--From a new member of IAFN

As a member already, you are in the best possible position to directly and positively impact IAFN's continuing growth and success. The strongest recruiting tool for our new members is your own personal endorsement. Will you help us grow? Our “Member Get a Member” campaign begins March 1, 2019 and ends June 30, 2019. Our goal is to reach 300 new members!

Recruiting Tips

Stuck on how to pitch IAFN membership to your colleagues? Supplement your ideas with some of our recruiting tips.

How to Register a Member

Remember, you only receive “credit” if a new member mentions your name. You need to be the first point of contact for the potential member about IAFN. Remind them to thank you!  There are 3 ways to get the process started:

Once the member is ready to join IAFN,

1. Provide them an application to complete and return to IAFN.

2. Direct them to join online right away! When they join online, they can add your name in the "Referred By" box. In order for you to receive “credit”, they need to add your name in the "Referred By box." Credit will not be given retroactively.

3. Send an introduction email to your colleague and membership with the subject “MGM” and we'll send them an invoice and get them signed up.

Membership Benefits

Why should you promote IAFN membership?  We all like to share what we love! IAFN is a leader in forensic nursing in large part to our incredible active members. Increased membership increases our opportunities to learn from one another, share resources, stay on the cutting edge of practice, and support one another through challenging times. In addition, IAFN has great member benefits, including free online access to the Journal of Forensic Nursing, free CE for members and much more!

With every member you recruit, you are participating in two contests, a Monthly Contest and a Grand Prize Contest! Visit the Member Get a Member Campaign for more information.
