 Dear Members,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN), I am pleased to announce that we have unanimously selected Jennifer Pierce Weeks, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P, to serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IAFN.

Having performed with distinction in her previous roles as our Association’s Interim CEO, Chief Operations Officer, Education Director, and Past President, Jennifer is well poised to move our organization forward. She is the leader we need. During her tenure, she has demonstrated keen business acumen, a deep and rich understanding of the organization’s past and present, and a clear vision for our future. She has an exceptional ability to inspire teamwork and commitment. A compelling communicator, she has the knowledge, grace, and credibility to articulate and help realize our organization’s mission--and vision. Jennifer’s appointment reflects the Board’s belief that IAFN is the recognized authority on forensic nursing practice.

Please join me in warmly welcoming Jennifer as our new CEO. We look forward to working with her.

Thank you, again, for your trust in us--to shape the future of our organization and to advance the specialty of forensic nursing as a practice beyond tradition.

Liz Louden, MSN, BN, RN, SANE-A
