The nurse who complete this educational activity will be able to: 1. Examine common indicators of human trafficking. 2. Correlate the links between trafficking and pornography. 3. Discuss Texas statutes pertaining to human trafficking. 4. Summarize local and state trafficking prevention activities. 5. Predict mental and physical health care needs of trafficked victims. 6. Relate interviewing techniques utilized with potential trafficking victims. 7. Classify “red flag” symptoms that may be consistent with human trafficking. 8. Prioritize social and safety needs of recently rescued trafficking victims. 9. Identify trafficker’s methods of power and control over their victims.
