Description
Join us for networking with fellow forensic nurses and learn from a decorated and award winning FBI agent who went undercover with a pro-pedophilia group, and from a former pimp turned consultant and advocate for victims of human trafficking. RSVP REQUIRED- Lunch will be provided Speaker #1, Bob Hamer Bob Hamer spent twenty-six years in the FBI as a special agent. Many of those years were undercover. In assignments lasting anywhere from several days to more than three years, Bob successfully posed as a drug dealer, contract killer, pedophile, international weapons dealer, and white-collar criminal. Bob received numerous awards throughout his career including the coveted FBI Director’s Award for Distinguished Service and five United States Attorney Awards for Distinguished Service. He is an award-winning, best-selling author and has written and consulted for Hollywood. A Marine Corps veteran, Bob is married. He and his wife have two children and five grandchildren. Speaker #2, Armand King "Armand King, 37, is the co-founder of the aptly named nonprofit 'Paving Great Futures'. Fueled by his experience in the streets King serves as a shepherd to guide others out of the prison pipeline, criminal activity, and the domestic human sex trafficking he knows all too well. He feels his mission in life is a path set out for him by God with his only goal being saving lives from the many pitfalls that he has witnessed himself growing up in underserved communities in San Diego. Armand’s experience includes creating and implementing new programs serving former gang members, criminal justice involved, and high-risk youth. Armand serves on boards and task forces on law enforcement relations, human trafficking, and victim advocacy issues. He conducts community outreach for at-risk individuals. He also serves as a Credible Messenger and Mentor to young adults and juveniles on probation or in custody. Armand draws upon his direct experience with the criminal justice system, including incarceration and the challenges of re-entry, to guide others. For many years he was misguided by the streets and helped to misguide others, not realizing the detriment of his actions. Life for him is now filled with rewriting his past but helping others pave a greater future
