2022 Call for Nominations

 
Are you passionate about forensic nursing? Are you interested in lending your voice and experience to guide IAFN into an even greater future? Consider applying for a leadership role in the 2022 IAFN elections. We are seeking fresh insight from our diverse community of members.

The 2022 IAFN Nominating Committee will be accepting applications for the 2022 ballot for the following positions from May 11, 2022 to June 30, 2022:
  • President-Elect (1 serving the IAFN and Foundation)
  • Treasurer (1 serving the IAFN and Foundation)
  • Nominating Committee (1 serving the IAFN)
  • Director at Large (3 serving the IAFN)
  • Director at Large (2 serving the Foundation)
  • CFNC Commissioners (1 serving the CFNC)

One (1) open seat for President Elect of the IAFN and Foundation

If you are an established, active member of IAFN with professional board experience, a dynamic public presence, the ability to commit to weekly service and a passion for the global reach of IAFN – the role of President Elect might be a role to consider.

Are you precise with a dedication to accuracy? Do you revel in the details and have experience with financial control and budgeting? If so, the IAFN Treasurer is the perfect role for you.

One (1) open seat for Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee is the perfect place for those interested in learning the process of governance and supporting the IAFN. Work with experienced members to solicit, gather and review applications for three (3) consecutive terms.

Three (3) open seats for IAFN Director at Large

Do you have leadership experience? Do you have experience with strategic planning and a desire to emulate and uphold the ethics and vision of IAFN? If so, you might be the right person for the position of Director at Large. The Director at Large is a member of the IAFN Board of Directors and works in collaboration with other Board members to carry out the IAFN Mission and Strategic Plan.

Two (2) open seat for IAFNF Director at Large

Do you have leadership experience? Do you have experience with strategic planning and a desire to emulate and uphold the ethics and vision of IAFN? If so, you might be the right person for the position of Director at Large. The Director at Large is a member of the IAFN Board of Directors and works in collaboration with other Board members to carry out the IAFN Mission and Strategic Plan.

One (1) open seat for Educator Commissioner

Is employed as an educator of forensic nursing at an academic institution in a department of an accredited school of nursing; May hold, but is not required to hold SANE-A and/or SANE-P certification and may be, but is not required to be, a member of the Association.

Step 1– Review the Criteria and Core Competencies for Board Service and the Nomination and Election Policy. You may also want to review the corresponding job descriptions.
Step 2 – Complete the appropriate online application by June 30, 2022. There is no requirement to have someone nominate you. We prefer you apply for yourself.

Step 3 – Select a reference and have them complete the reference form (provided once you submit your application) by June 30, 2022. .
