Certification Renewal Information

Certification lasts for three (3) years and expires on December 31 of the third year, regardless of the month in which you attained your initial certification. The Association sends renewal notices via email.

Please note: More than 96% of the applications submitted for renewal by CE are  . . . APPROVED! You must know: the CFNC is proud of your laudable work.

Renewal Certificant News for 2018:  Were you last certified in 2015? If so, you are due to renew this year.

We have good news! The CFNC believes that all appropriate CE should "count" for renewal. So starting this year, your CE accrual start date will be individualized to YOU!

Let's say you certified early in 2015 (either by exam or renewal); you have now gained all that extra time to accrue CE. Consider it a perk for early certification! Thus, your CE start date for renewal will be the earlier of either:

1) November 2, 2015, or

2) the date on your official letter of congratulations from IAFN for certification (via either exam or renewal).

To verify, check the date on your letter of congratulations. Can't find your letter? No problem. Log on to your IAFN Member Profile and look for the "SANE Certification Start Date" for the certification you seek to renew: that is your CE accrual start date.
